From the very beginning, textured hair has been part of my identity. Growing up with a head full of curls and coils, I learned early on that hair is much more than just something you style—it's a symbol of culture, heritage, and personal expression. My passion for textured hair didn't just happen overnight; it grew from my own experiences and the people I was surrounded by.
I was fortunate to be raised in a family where hair was celebrated. Many of my family members were stylists and salon owners, and I watched in awe as they transformed not just hair, but also the confidence and spirit of everyone who sat in their chairs. Their salons were community hubs, where beauty, creativity, and culture blended seamlessly. These spaces weren't just about hair—they were about making people feel good, about being a place where people could come together, share stories, and leave feeling empowered.

As a child, I was constantly experimenting with hair, eager to put my own creative spin on the styles I saw in those salons. One of my fondest memories is of my Cabbage Patch doll, which still sits proudly on display with the box braids and beads I styled in her hair over 25 years ago. Even back then, I took my time perfecting each braid, selecting the perfect beads, and feeling an immense sense of accomplishment once the look was complete. That doll symbolizes the early stages of my love affair with textured hair—a passion that would shape my future in ways I couldn’t yet imagine.
Fast forward to today, and my love for textured hair runs even deeper. With over 30 years of experience, starting from braiding hair in middle school to save money for things like prom and class trips, I’ve learned not only the technical aspects of styling but also the importance of educating others about the beauty and versatility of textured hair. For me, it's always been about more than just the aesthetics—it's about teaching people to embrace their natural texture and helping them understand the unique needs of their hair.
Textured hair care is an art, and it's one that requires knowledge, patience, and passion. That’s why I’ve dedicated my career to becoming an advocate for proper textured hair education, especially in a world that’s still learning how to embrace and celebrate diversity in beauty. As a stylist, my goal is to create an inclusive space for clients to feel understood, supported, and empowered to rock their natural textures.

Hair is deeply personal, and I believe that everyone deserves to feel seen and valued when they sit in my chair. Whether you're coming to me for a protective style, a fresh cut, or just advice on how to care for your curls, know that I bring my full heart and decades of experience into every service I provide.
My journey with textured hair is ongoing, but one thing has never changed: my love for it runs deep, and I’m here to share that love with the world.
With love:
